11.2 (2023.2) Release Notes

These release notes describe the new, enhanced, and changed features provided with the release. Some changes may require action, so review these notes carefully. These notes complement the Stibo Systems Enterprise Platform (STEP) Online Help, which includes in-depth information on previously existing and new system functionality, including detailed explanations and step-by-step instructions for use, when appropriate.


Release highlights:

  • Configured PDX Channels – Providing retailers increased business agility over their product onboarding capabilities to proactively pivot or adapt to evolving markets (Product MDM, PDX)

  • JSON Import – Addressing companies' need to receive complete data in an efficient, reliable, and consistent manner, with user-friendly formats and tools (Platform)

  • Centralized Authoring – Improving the ability to create and update new Party Data with Optimized Central Onboarding, new typeahead capabilities including address auto complete, and enhancing the Data Validity features in the Web UI to support references (Customer MDM, Supplier MDM, Location MDM)

  • Accelerator for Retail with Instrument – Supporting our productized solution for the retail industry by providing a modern user experience using our Instrument UI framework (Product MDM)

  • Outputs to Configured Channels – Extending the output configurations for configured channels to send product data in various formats, via various delivery methods (PDX, Product MDM)

  • ECLASS Advanced Solution – Expanding this Industry Standards functionality to include easy setup, importing and exporting data in BMEcat 2005.1 format, and adding JavaScript and workbench actions. (Product MDM)

  • Enhancement Requests – Adapting to the changing needs of the market and our customers (All)

Upgrade Guide and Maintenance Patches

In addition to the individual release notes, upgrading customers should read the 11.2 (2023.2) Upgrade Guide here. This guide provides information that existing customers need to know prior to upgrading. This includes actions required for deprecated components and unsupported functionality.

Installation Recipe

The baseline (and additional components) can be installed using these commands:

./spot --upgrade=step:11.2

For on-premises systems, refer to the SPOT Program documentation for more information, including how to use the SPOT --upgrade command to also find compatible components that can be added at the same time as the baseline patch (--upgrade=all) in the SPOT Program topic of the System Administration Guide found in Downloadable Documentation. For customers that have custom add-on components and/or if Stibo Systems Support is deploying your system upgrades and patches, submit an upgrade request via the Stibo Systems Service Portal.
