License and Component Lifecycle
This topic explains Stibo Systems' functionality (license and component) availability statuses. The statuses listed below explain the typical software release lifecycle that functionality takes, from introduction to end-of-life. Statuses include: Ramp Up, General Availability, Deprecated, and Discontinued.
Note: The availability of components as described in this topic is different than their status lifecycle (active, replaced, superseded, deprecated, and withdrawn). For details on Web UI component lifecycles, refer to the Web UI Component Basics topic within the Web UI Getting Started section of the Web User Interfaces documentation here.

Ramp Up |
Limited availability release; available to select customers that are early adopters of new functionality. Stibo Systems' Product team involvement is needed to get the solution in place for customers. Customer feedback is considered prior to moving the functionality to the next cycle. Some Ramp-Up functionality is open to early adopter volunteers. Contact Stibo Systems. |
General Availability | Available to all customers who have a license to use it. |
Deprecated | Existing customers can continue to use the functionality, but should move to functionality that is in General Availability status. The functionality is supported. |
Discontinued | No longer available to customers from a specific version of a release. Customers must migrate to functionality that is in General Availability status prior to upgrading to a release when functionality is Discontinued. |
While not every component and license outlined in documentation and not all functionality presented is currently designated with / by one of the statuses above, the information is now being added to release notes as applicable.
It is recommended that users also refer to the Deprecations and Lifecycle Changes topic, which contains details around past, current, and future deprecated, superseded, withdrawn, and deleted STEP components and functionality.
