Metadata on references and links available in PDS
Using Advanced STEPXML, users can now export metadata from STEP to PDS on these reference types: Product Reference, Image and Document Reference, and Entity Reference. This new functionality gives PDS users more detailed information about the product data that is exported from STEP.
For more information regarding Reference and Link Types, refer to the Reference and Link Types topic in the System Setup documentation here.
For more information regarding Advanced STEPXML, refer to the Advanced STEPXML Format topic in the Data Exchange documentation here.
PDS Publish wizard improvement
The Publish wizard for PDS is available from the Search Screen basket. New functionality prevents access to PDS channels for users who do not have an email address for their STEP user that matches that matches their email address in PDS. This update improves the ability to govern PDS by ensuring only authorized users can publish data to channels. This may constitute a change for current users. Verify users who publish data to PDS have the same email address in STEP.
Additionally, nested PDS channel structures have replaced a flattened list of channels in the wizard. This improvement allows users to navigate, manage, and execute their syndication process on the intended level, whether global or for a specific retailer.
The Search Screen is activated by the Faceted Search User Experience commercial license. Contact your account manager or partner manager to begin the process of enabling a license or licenses for your system.
