Current Update - July 17, 2025

This release reinforces our dedication to improving system performance, stability, and robustness. Alongside compelling user-centric features, we've resolved multiple challenges and delivered substantial foundational improvements. We also continue to develop innovative capabilities intended for upcoming releases.

This update includes new features, error corrections, planned channel updates, and future update preview.

New Features

The new functionality is described below:

1. See and Control Default Language in Channels

All valid languages in a channel are now viewable. The language information is available on the General tab of the individual channels under Channel Management.

The information is available under two sections under Language settings:

  • Default language

  • Available languages (not including default)

For most channels, this setting is read-only. However, for some channels, namely multi-language Onboarding channels, the user can control and modify which of the available languages is the default one.

All global and non-language specific attributes in a channel are maintained in the default language. A benefit of this new functionality means that if suppliers now prefer to maintain these data (e.g., an LOV-based color value) in another specific language, configuration is possible.

This configuration is fundamental to the channel and should not change regularly as it will affect data in the channel. It is recommended to remove all products from the channel before performing this task. Existing manual edits done on global data in the channel can be lost during a change of the default language and will have to be re-entered.

In the Channel UI, the default language will always be at the top in the language dropdown and will be indicated by an icon.

2. Support for Multivalued Channel Attributes in Suggested AI and Automatic Mappings

Users must enter a separator when manually creating mappings to multivalued channel attributes to ensure the mapping will split the master data into the correct multivalued data in the channel.

PDX does include features to make mapping creation easier – one example is the AI suggested mappings functionality.

This feature suggests and automatically creates mappings to multivalued channel attributes. By default, these mappings are created with no separator, and users were not made aware that these mappings needed manual attention.

This update makes any mapping to multivalued channel attributes that is incomplete (missing a separator) clearly visible in the Mapping Screen:

  • A warning for incomplete mappings will be visible at the top of the Mapping Screen.

  • A warning icon will appear on the affected mappings.

Now, the mapping can be fixed by using the edit button and simply adding the separator.

Warning message for Actions Affecting >100,000 Products

Customers can operate with large numbers of products in PDX and can accidentally trigger an action that affects several hundred thousand or even millions of products. For example, a user can, by mistake, select all products in Master Data and add them to a channel. For thousands of products, this action typically will not cause an issue. However, when the product number is several hundred thousands or millions, the load on PDX is massive and can bottleneck the user's own operations.

Warning messages have now been introduced advise the user selects more than 100,000 products for the following actions:

  • Add to channel

  • Run rules

  • Move product to another category

Error Corrections

The following error corrections are described below:

Description

Incorrect Language View in PDX

Some users experienced that the PDX UI was shown in the Preferred languages of the browser, rather than using the Preferred language setting in PDX (set under ‘Profile and account settings’).

This defect was fixed July 4, 2025.

Language-specific Attribute Filters Disabled in Grid

As mentioned in the March 20, 2025, update notes, support for attribute filters in PDX is currently limited to default languages. To reduce confusion and avoid misleading users, the following filters were disabled outside the default languages in the channel UI:

  • Errors

  • Empty

  • Not Empty

However, a user could still trigger a faulty 'Empty’ filter by using the 'Show required but empty attribute' action from the Grid view in PDX. In this update, the 'Show required but empty attribute' action from the Grid view is only available in the default language.

In languages other than the default, the 'Show required but empty attribute' action from the Grid view is replaced by a 'Show required attribute only' action.

Note: The above change is temporary. Once support for attribute filters is extended to cover multiple languages, these filtering limitations will be removed.
