Current Update - June 4, 2025

This iteration reinforces our dedication to advancing platform performance, stability, and robustness. Coupled with compelling user-driven features, we've tackled multiple defects and delivered considerable system-level improvements. We're also developing innovative capabilities scheduled for subsequent releases.

This update includes new features, error corrections, planned channel updates, and future update preview.

New Features

The new functionality is described below:

1. New Landing Page for PDX

With this release, we are introducing a new Dashboard landing page for PDX. This feature streamlines issue resolution within PDX by providing users with comprehensive insights into active processes and pinpointing specific areas that demand focus and intervention.

The current version of the Dashboard contains two new widgets: the Process Overview Status Widget and the Submission Task List Widget.

  • Process Overview Status Widget

This widget offers a snapshot of ongoing actions within PDX, both for in-progress processes and completed processes. Users can click on columns within the widget to navigate directly to the full process overview for advanced analysis capabilities. The widget includes a time-frame picker, allowing users to view statuses from today, last week, last month, or a custom range. Additionally, there is a toggle to display only the processes initiated by the user.

  • Submission Task List Widget

This widget provides an overview of products that require user action. It displays all channels the user has access to, along with products in any of the following statuses: In Progress, Ready, Returned, Rejected, Updated, and With Errors. Users can easily apply filters to focus on specific statuses and identify which channels are affected. The channels shown in the list are clickable and will move the user into the channel view with filters applied for the selected issue, enabling users to address issues and resubmit products. Like the Process Overview Widget, the Submission Task List Widget also includes a time frame picker to see the statuses from today, last week, last month, or a custom date, as well as a channel picker for a more focused view of a specific channel.

2. New Channel Portal UI (formerly named Retailer Portal)

The Channel Portal, formally named Retailer Portal, is a tool that owners of PDX onboarding channels can use to provide their suppliers with access to a simple, branded single channel interface called 'Vendor Portal.'

Along with the new name, we’re excited to introduce several improvements to the Channel Portal and Vendor Portal experience. These improvements include providing the first steps for the option of maintaining several vendor portals within one Channel portal, as well as implementing new statuses for the vendor portals. To provide better visibility into the state of each vendor portal, we’ve added three new statuses:

  • Incomplete – the portal setup is not finished yet

  • Ready – the portal is configured and ready for activation

  • Active – the portal is live and operational.

The branding customization and dashboard widgets are found within each of the vendor portals. This enables the user to create custom branding and dashboards for each available vendor portal.

Improvements have also been made to the application 'Switch to' menu. Users can now seamlessly switch between applications using the drop-down menu. This update is also to augment the possibility of supporting several vendor portals within the same Channel Portal. Menu options are shown based on a user's existing permissions.

3. Enhancement to Status Tooltip – Attribute Errors and Product Errors

PDX has been extended with a new tooltip called Product errors, which will be displayed when a user hovers the status bar of the product. The tooltip 'Product errors' will be displayed in the following cases:

  • Product cannot be submitted from a non-leaf category

  • Product contains errors on other levels

  • Packaging levels incorrect

  • Packaging hierarchy contains errors

  • Channel account is not authenticated

Error Corrections

The following error corrections are described below:

  Description

1WorldSync: Changes to Aggregated Status Across Accounts

The 1WorldSync channel supports the concept of multiple PDX accounts (also referred to as IP GLNs). As a result, products that belong to multiple accounts will have a status for each account and one aggregated status that is calculated based on all account statuses.

Views in PDX will in general have an account filter: If an account is selected, the account specific state is shown, and if no account is selected, the aggregated status is shown.

Previously, the aggregated status was based on all available individual account statuses. This could cause confusion when products were removed from IP GLNs. An example would be when a product had been submitted to a given IP GLN and rejected, and if the same account (IP GLN) was then removed from this product. Users were sometimes confused because the overall rejected status would be a result of the rejected status from an IP GLN that had been removed.

With this update, when calculating the aggregated status, PDX will ignore statuses from accounts that have been removed from the product, so the aggregated status is a reflection of only the active account statuses, as shown in the example below:

The product has previously been Rejected on the 0864109000275 IP GLN.

The value 0864109000275 has now been removed from the IP GLN attribute and therefore the aggregated status is not influenced by the Rejected status.

Planned Channel Updates

The planned channel updates are listed below:

1WorldSync channel updates

The 1WorldSync Channel was updated to the IM 8.61 (GDSN 3.1.31) 1WorldSync release on May 25, 2025.

The next 1WorldSync Channel update to the 3.1.31 GDSN release is scheduled for August 23, 2025.

Brandbank channels update

The Brandbank channels in PDX are scheduled to be updated to match the Brandbank Release 18 on August 30, 2025.

With reference to changes to the IP address associated with the NIQ Brandbank public API endpoints, Brandbank has recently reached out to their customers regarding an important upcoming change to the IP address associated with the NIQ Brandbank public API endpoints: Brandbank announces that on July 2, 2025, they will update the IP address of their public API endpoints as part of a mandatory software update.

The PDX team are aware of this update, and the PDX Brandbank channels will not be affected by this: No change is required.
