Recent Warning Notifications Side Panel
The 'Recent warning notifications' side panel is added automatically when configuring the Global Navigation Panel (here) and provides users with a clear and easily accessible panel that displays all recent errors and warnings encountered in the Web UI.
Using the Recent Warning Notifications Side Panel
The 'Recent warning notifications' side panel can be opened by clicking the panel's icon, gray bell when not opened (), in the upper right corner of Web UI. The panel holds all recent warning and error notifications until manually dismissed.
- When showing no errors or warnings, the panel will display the text, 'No existing notifications,' inside the 'Recent warning notifications' side panel.
- When an action taken in the Web UI prompts a warning notification popup, a red dot with the number of warning notifications will appear to the upper right of the 'Recent warning notifications' icon, . This marker means the warning notification is now listed in the side panel. When the panel is opened, any warning notifications display on a card in the 'Recent warning notifications' side panel. Contained in the card is the icon (in this case a yellow triangle containing an exclamation point), a warning notification header, warning notification text, a link to the relevant object when applicable, and the date and time the warning was generated.
- When an action taken in the Web UI prompts an error notification, the error notification is listed and described in the panel. When the 'Recent warning notifications' side panel is opened, the new error notification displays on a card. Contained in the card is the icon (in this case a red circle containing an exclamation point), an error notification header, error notification text, a link to the relevant object when applicable, and the date and time the error was generated.
- Clicking the 'Click for details' link in some error and warning notifications popup dialogs (which display at the top of the screen when generated) will open the 'Recent warning notifications' side panel.
