Current Update - April 28, 2025
With this update, our focus remains on enhancing the platform’s speed, stability, and overall dependability. In addition to introducing new user-facing features, we’ve implemented substantial improvements behind the scenes. We're also laying the groundwork for exciting additions in upcoming releases. This update does not include any general-interest bug fixes.
The update will include new features, planned channel updates, and future update preview.
New Features
The new functionality is described below:
1. Preview Feature on PDX Preprod Only: Support for Multi and Variety Packs in the Brandbank Channel
As part of the ongoing implementation to support multi and variety packs in the Brandbank channels, the April 2, 2025, update included an update to the Brandbank UK channel on the PDX Preprod environment: The Brandbank UK channel was updated with a new ‘Parts’ Composite attribute:
The purpose of the new attribute is that each row in the Parts composite is carrying product data associated with individual parts in Multi or Variety Packs.
Previously, this attribute was only added to the UI and was ignored in submissions.
With this update, the Brandbank UK channel on the PDX Preprod environment now supports the following:
-
Data validations on the different sub attributes in the Parts Composite
-
The example below shows a validation on the Nutrient sub composite on a Part:
-
-
Submission of parts data to Brandbank UK
Currently, the implementation aims to collect feedback on the Parts functionality from selected customers.
Brandbank UK support for Parts is expected to be available on PDX Production with the next update on May 14, 2025.
2. Sorting and filtering in Digital Catalog – Data Monitoring and Request Log
The two pages 'Data monitoring' and 'Request log' have been enhanced with sorting and filtering capabilities.
-
In Data Monitoring, a user can now filter and sort on channel, catalog, and partner name.
-
In the Request log, a user can sort and filter on Time, Status Code, Request type, Request path, Delivered products, Delivered assets, Response time, Details, and Request ID.
3. STEP LOV Value IDs Now Shown in PDX
The integration between STEP and PDX has been enhanced. LOV Value IDs are now transferred from STEP and displayed in a new, dedicated column in PDX Master Data.
In the example below, PDX shows the ID of the LOV value, which follows the naming convention: <LOV Name>_<ID>.
This enhancement ensures consistency, as LOV Value IDs remain the same across all languages, supporting reliable cross-language data referencing.
4. Updated Channel Overview Page
Several improvements have been made to the PDX UI, including the release of a revamped Channel Overview page. The updated design aims to provide users with greater clarity and more actionable insights for each channel.
The new overview page retains key elements from the previous version—such as the logo, channel name, and status bar. The status bar has been enhanced to offer improved visibility into product statuses, now accompanied by a legend explaining each status.
New features include:
-
Product count per channel
-
Timestamp indicating the last product update
-
Quick action buttons for direct access to the grid view or channel management page (if the user has appropriate permissions)
-
Filter functionality via the filtering button in the UI
These updates are designed to streamline navigation and improve visibility into channel activity.
5. Updated Channel Details Page
The Product Details page has been updated to provide users with expanded information and improved clarity.
In addition to displaying category-level statuses as before, the view now includes:
-
An enhanced status bar
-
Product count
-
A timestamp indicating the most recently updated product
All elements are filterable using the filter button in the UI.
A new section has also been introduced to display channel recipients. If a channel includes receivers—such as Markets or GLNs—they will appear in this section with status indicators consistent with those used in the Categories section.
These enhancements are designed to offer deeper visibility into each level of a channel's structure and status.
6. Enhancement to Attributes Filter in Grid View
The Attribute search functionality has been enhanced to allow users to search using an attribute’s ID, in addition to its name.
For example, if a user searches for 'certificate,' the system may return an attribute named 'Another name' because its ID is CERTIFICATES. This allows for more flexible and accurate search results, even when the attribute name does not directly match the search term.
This feature is especially useful for users working with Amazon channels, where system messages often reference attributes by ID only, without providing the attribute name. By extending the attribute filter to include ID-based search, it becomes easier to locate and correct the relevant attributes quickly.
7. Update to Process Overview – New 'Finishing' Status
A new status, 'Finishing,' has been added to the 'Import workflow' to provide more accurate visibility into the process.
Previously, imports were marked as 'Completed' once the initial import finished, even if related assets were still downloading or if product indexation in Master Data and Channels had not yet completed.
With this update:
-
The 'Finishing' status now indicates that asset downloads and product indexation are in progress.
-
Once an import transitions to 'Finishing,' other imports can be initiated.
-
In the Active tab of the Process Overview, an import will move from 'Active' to 'Finishing' while these background tasks complete.
-
When all processes are finalized, the status will change to 'Completed.'
This update does not extend processing times in PDX—it simply provides a more accurate reflection of the current workflow state.
8. Implementation of Alphabetical Sorting in PDX
With this release, alphabetical sorting has been added to several lists within PDX. This enhancement is designed to improve navigation, particularly in longer lists, and to facilitate quicker identification of specific items.
The following areas are among those that have been updated to use alphabetical order, helping to enhance organization and improve navigation:
-
Receivers in DC
-
Recipients in VMC
-
Recipients when submitting
-
Languages on grid
-
Channel hierarchy picker
