Product Data Exchange (PDX) Enhancements

2023.1 (11.1) Enhanced Features

Enhanced features for this release of PDX include PDX Accelerator for Retail Invitation Flow, Activity Log Export, and Cloning Configured Channels. These enhancements support a more efficient workflow for customers by reducing manual effort and providing better tools to more efficiently manage the syndication process.

PDX / Accelerator for retail invitation flow

Previously, creating new vendor channels in PMDM and the corresponding new PDX syndication account was a manual process. With the new PDX Accelerator for Retail flow, retailers with an Accelerator for Retail channel can now initiate a flow that automates the process.

  • New vendor hierarchy automatically created in STEP

Activity log

The enhanced activity log allows customers with a high volume of submissions to filter and export submission activities, focusing on a subset of products. This filtering capacity enables customers to conduct granular searches down to a product level, and all results can be exported from the log in Excel format—making the syndication process more transparent. While current activities are limited to submission events, future enhancements will include all internal (such as import type and adding to channel) and external (such as channel submission and validation) activities will be available for filter and export.

  • Visual display of all events related to product submissions

  • Advanced filtering options for precise searches, such as date range, channel, activity, and submission ID

  • Export of filtered data as Excel file

Benefits

  • Ability for users to filter the submission log to isolate the types of submissions that are important to them—such as those have failed or have been rejected

  • Allow the results of the filtered log to be exported to Excel so that it can be distributed to other team members (who may not be checking PDX regularly) for action

The PDX Syndication commercial license and a license for at least one direct channel are required for the functionality described above.

Cloning configured channels

Previously, creating new configured channels that are only slight variations of existing configured channels was a completely manual process. Now, PDX provides the ability to clone / copy an existing channel, as well as the channel's attribute mappings and transformations. This feature provides customers with valuable options for the reduction of both time and resource expenditures.
