Once products have been added to a channel and the product data verified, they are ready to submit to a channel and send to the retailer. Any data errors or missing required data must be corrected or added prior to submission.
A product must show a status of
in order to be submitted. Products can be selected and submitted from either the list (default) view or the grid view. Tick the check box to the left of a product to select. All products in a category can be selected for submission by ticking this box:
. If necessary, individual products can then be unchecked. Once products have been selected, click the
button to open the dropdown menu, and then click the submit button
.
A product must show a status of
before it is submitted. However, a
status does not guarantee all data associated with the product is valid. The
status indicates that all mandatory data fields have been completed. However, some of those fields may contain data that is not in the format required by the retailer. In the example below, all products show a status of
, but two of the products are bordered by a red line to show one or more errors in the data. To see the error(s), hover over the
status of the product.
Refer to the section on identifying and correcting errors to quickly locate and correct erroneous data.
Once the data has been corrected and no error indicators appear, products can be selected for submission.
The status of each product will change based on the channel response. In the example below, the submission was successful for all products, so all products now reflect a status of
. To see the message for success, hover over the status field. Information from the retailer can also be viewed within the product summary.
Not all submissions will be completely successful. The below products were submitted, but not all were accepted by the retailer.
One product has been accepted by the retailer, one product is still in submission status and has not yet been reviewed by the retailer, and two products were sent back for errors.
The product in
status can be resubmitted if the problematic data is corrected. Information on correction requirements can be found in the return message.
The rejected product should not be resubmitted. The return message for that product will contain information explaining the rejection.
