Log for Users and Groups

The Log tab on Users and Groups records any changes that occur to a particular user group or a specific user. This information is essential for audit purposes, as well as aiding data stewards and/or system architects in setting up and maintaining privileges. The information recorded uses IDs for all data recorded. The recorded information for each data point is the following:

  • Date the changed occurred

  • Time of change

  • Who made the change

  • What was updated or changed

Some examples of information points that the user group Log tab holds are:

  • Adding the group to a Change package

  • Adding or removing privilege rules

  • Adding or removing users to the group.

Some examples of information points that the individual user Log tab holds are:

  • When the user was created

  • Any property modifications

  • Password changes

  • User groups the user is added to or removed from
