Fix for cannot create a context in STEP (HOTFIX-8139, ISSUE-758415)

Fixed a problem where it appeared that you could not create a context in STEP Workbench, but in fact, the context already existed. The error was just not reported.

Added ability to create temporary config properties (RDSUP-429)

Made a change so that we can make temporary config properties which can be removed again without STEP failing to start. If a config property starts with FixSpecific. and it is not defined in STEP, the application server will now simply warn instead of fail to start. This is to enable us to better support customers in the future without risking side-effects for other customers. This change is only internal and for future use, so it has no effect on any existing systems.

Fix for exceptions on PDF file imports (HOTFIX-8154, ISSUE-755610, ISSUE-748971)

Fixed an issue that caused the faulty parsing of PDF files.

Logging added for Elasticsearch view and export are not working (ISSUE-763339, HOTFIX-8189)

Added additional logging to the Search screen Excel export BGP.

Fix for key product information keeps loading for long time in QA after upgrade (HOTFIX-8169, ISSUE-760371)

Fixed an issue where the UI Product Editor may sometimes remain in a loading state. This was due to a security mechanism from GraphQL that stops the query should it be extremely large in size (exceeding the allowed amount of grammar tokens for the request). The change set accounts for this edge case and wires the request appropriately so that GraphQL is not overwhelmed.

Fix for BMEcat - 'Catalog data' is missing on the output file (HOTFIX-8130, ISSUE-756506)

Fixed the issue in BMEcat export where the tag is missing in the output file.

Remove additional privileges required to run manual Excel translation for LOVs with IDs (HOTFIX-8149, ISSUE-746344)

Now additional privileges are not required to export manual Excel translationsfor LOVs with IDs.

Fix for PCdb Conversion NullPointerException (HOTFIX-8144, ISSUE-760253)

Fixed problem where a NullPointerException was thrown during the Autocare PCdb Conversion Import Process.

Fix for Revision Management EP keeping to many revision (HOTFIX-8138, ISSUE-754564)

Fixed issue where revision purging by date would leave behind a revision that should have been purged.

Fix for LOV attribute typeahead in Web UI ignoring classification filter for large LOVs (ISSUE-758220, HOTFIX-8136)

For LOVs with more than 5,000 values, the classification filter would be ignored and invalid values were displayed and could be selected. Now, inherited filters from classifications will be respected when deciding whether to show an LOV as a typehead or a dropdown on the Web UI Node Editor.

Fix for PCdb Conversion NullPointerException (ISSUE-760253, HOTFIX-8116)

Fixed problem where a NullPointerException was thrown during the Autocare PCdb Conversion Import Process.

Fix for profile does not update when collection returns 0 objects (ISSUE-594901, HOTFIX-8108)

Now, an empty node collection profile will be updated correctly.

Fix for inherited value of an LOV with ID being exported despite being overwritten at lower level (ISSUE-735341, HOTFIX-7911)

In cross-context exports, both local and inherited attribute values are exported as there may be some contexts without a local value. But this is only true if the attribute is dimension-dependent. If the attribute is dimension-independent, only the local value, if one exists, is now exported.

Fix for TecDoc Application Manager Screen • Not able to configure Business Actions (HOTFIX-8097, ISSUE-736890)

Fixed an unexpected exception occurring when showing an Application Bulk Update automotive component in Design Mode.

Fix for MONGO Integrations are getting failed due to NullPointer Exception Post Upgrade (ISSUE-704865, HOTFIX-7477)

It is now possible to export advanced step xml to mongodb where delete of references is present in the xml and where the references are not found in the mongo db.

Fix for file locked in the SFTP server (HOTFIX-8095, ISSUE-751944)

A file created by the XSLT postprocessor could not be deleted from an Azure filesystem. This has been fixed.

Fix for error when handling a Referenced By data container reference type - Owner edge for data container ID was null. (HOTFIX-8067, ISSUE-755422)

Fixed a problem occurring when an unexpected exception was thrown in STEP Workbench during the export when accessing a node, which was a target of a data container reference, invisible in a current context / workspace.

Fix for Web UI - Data container: Time zone offset of 2 hours (ISSUE-721026, HOTFIX-8055)

Fixed a problem occurring when the Read Only Attribute value, representing an ISO Date / Time attribute on a Web UI Node Editor / Unfolding Data Container component was showing a local browser time instead of the same time as in workbench.

Fix for finding names both with and without dimension dependencies (RDSUP-277, HOTFIX-8038)

The new health check plugin 'Invalid name' has been added. It can find and fix nodes with names that do not have the correct dimension dependencies according to the definition of the object type.

Fix for Asset Reference is editable for read-only user in Variant List tab (HOTFIX-8022, ISSUE-745270)

Now, the Table Header References component will be shown as read only for users who do not have privileges to add / delete references.

Fix for workflow states (ISSUE-750105, HOTFIX-8016)

Fixed a problem occurring when workflow business rules were marked as invalid if a workflow had a mapping without any states.

Fix for Match & Merge: An ‘Auto generated’ major version 1.0 is not created before the merge operation (RDCDM-6018, HOTFIX-7995)

A fix was put into place to ensure a major revision is created on initial non-major revisions while merging records. This means that data will not be lost from the revision history.

Fix for asset push in which image conversion leads to a removed path within image files (HOTFIX-7957, ISSUE-719482)

Fixed a problem with missing clipping path images in a converted image when the output was set to create .tiff files.

Fix for being unable to use spot --upgrade on STEP versions before 2024.4 (RDHELP-8451)

If certain components are installed on a system and spot --upgrade was asked to plan an upgrade that included those components, then it would come up with an upgrade that was not actually possible. The problem was that the requirement for a different Java Runtime was not communicated via the dependency data that spot --upgrade uses to plan upgrades. This has now been rectified by making SPOT create the needed information for the software already on the system and by creating it for the available software, too.

Fix for translated files not returning from Lionbridge (ISSUE-731401, HOTFIX-7943)

When doing a Lionbridge translation, the background processes in Quarantine state will no longer block for retranslation of an object.

Fix for asynchronous translation functionality not working (HOTFIX-7950, ISSUE-731649)

There was an old behavior where it was possible to export translations when the source and the target were the same language, which has been removed. It is considered an invalid use case. However, the customer's setup relied on the old behavior and a solution was made to retain the old behavior on their systems. Any other customers with this same issue should contact Stibo Systems Support for details.

Fix for matching event processor (EVP) failure (HOTFIX-7937, ISSUE-731324)

Fixed a problem in which a process designed to check for and remove invalid potential duplicates was throwing an exception when running in parallel matching.

Fix for File Exchange Service Inbound Poller not working for ~500 products (ISSUE-718657, HOTFIX-7667)

The Asynchronous Translation Service process had an error where it would not resume an existing poller process, but instead start a new poller process, which has the side effect of losing the progress state of the job. This could potential lead to stuck translation jobs. This has been fixed. The performance of the Asynchronous Translation Service process has been improved.

If the same object was imported multiple times in the same import and a business action was used to delete the object after creation, this could cause an exception to be thrown. This has been fixed.

Fix for STEP import of XML files failing with SAXParseException (ISSUE-727235, HOTFIX-7900)

When writing a file to a hotfolder took more than five seconds, the file could be read before it was fully written. This issue has been fixed.

Fix for Asynchronous Translation Service – multiple target languages (ISSUE-733769, HOTFIX-7898)

Created a new HOTFIX-7898 that fixes the way translation files are sent to SDL translation service when a customer configures async translation with multiple targets on a single configuration.

Fixed problem in which the Periodic Log Writer, responsible for writing business rules, events, and activity data, etc., could stop working completely if, upon initialization, it failed when pinging Cassandra DB due to network/infrastructure issue.

Fixed a problem when ISO Date & Time validated attributes with Strict validation allowed a hyphen character to be used between the date and time parts and inside the time part of a value.

Fix for multi value text attributes are not imported as multi value (HOTFIX-7816, ISSUE-724182)

Multi-valued language dependent attributes mapped in Generic XML using a repeat instruction would not be imported as multi valued if the value separator was specified in the Generic XML file using a MultiValueSeparator instruction. This is now fixed.

Fix for object cannot be approved in the North America (US-en) context (ISSUE-717382, HOTFIX-7807)

Previously, it was possible to end up in a situation where an object could not be complete-approved (even though a user approved it in all contexts) due to hidden values on suppressed links (either classification-product links or references). STEP now allows for complete-approving objects with suppressed links and when the suppressed link holds hidden meta values in the suppressed dimension points.

Fix for Multiple Asset Download in Instrument generates a corrupt zip file (ISSUE-727700, HOTFIX-7777)

Instrument:  Attempting to download multiple assets could fail with a corrupt zip file when running in a SaaS system. This has been fixed.

HOTFIX-7771 (HOTFIX-7771)

Hotfix HOTFIX-7771 doesn't have an approved description, yet. This is related to RD-24253: ISSUE-82060 shadow issue.

Fix for previous object revisions do not respect privileges (HOTFIX-7790, ISSUE-725186, HOTFIX-7789)

Users with restricted view privilege rules could see attributes on past revisions of products, classifications, assets, etc., that they were not supposed to see. This was caused due to the enforcing of view privileges on revisions of products, classifications, assets, etc., was not implemented yet. This was fixed by implementing the missing part that checks if the user has view privileges on the attribute on the revision of a given object / node. 

Fix / RCA for the production environment outage (HOTFIX-7769, ISSUE-728013)

With the fix committed on this issue, we avoid a potential server crash when running STEP with In-Memory in a cluster setup - or in TriPod setup. The bug was introduced in 2024.1.

Fix for Conditional Attribute with condition .* does not work (ISSUE-724000, HOTFIX-7765)

Now, Conditional Attributes will support trailing or single wildcard characters during evaluation. Notice that leading wildcards are ignored, and wildcards in the middle of a string are treated as a part of a string. Also, notice that instead of ".*" (dot start) pattern, a single "*" (star) pattern should be used.

Fix for cannot revert changes (HOTFIX-7763, ISSUE-718852)

Fixed a bug for Oracle-based STEP systems, where - in some situations - could make STEP fail to revert an object with references to a previous version.

Fix for scroll bar option is not available for attributes with multiple values or multi-valued LOV (HOTFIX-7795, ISSUE-728697)

Now, a scrollbar will correctly appear on a Read Only popup, which appears when a user double-clicks on a read-only cell on a Web UI Node List.
